Had their buffet lunch today with two other people. We loved the butter chicken at the restaurant that used to be in this space and were hoping this new restaurant would be good. It was not only good but great! No butter chicken but they had a dish very similar that was delicious! Just one request: move the rice toward the front of the buffet line, please. You’ve got to try this place!! It’s under new ownership and the service is great. We had the Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Curry with Naan and everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. We moved to Colorado Springs from New York City, and think this is probably the best Indian food we’ve ever had. The Chai was lovely too! The atmosphere is cozy and the music was a nice touch. We haven’t eaten Indian Food since living in the Middle East where it was readily available. We came across this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We were very satisfied. The samosas were excellent- some of the best I’ve had. The naan was fluffy and had the perfect amount of crisp on the bottom. Our main dishes were well prepared, fresh and delicious. It would be easy to pass off Gurkhas as just another Indian buffet. To do so would be a disservice to the excellent food they offer. Absolutely delicious. They just had their grand opening 5 days ago, so the one star reviews aren't relevant and may have applied to the restaurant prior. While we are going to miss Indian One (India Palace), the food and customer service was absolutely amazing. We were excited that there is finally a lunch buffet again in Colorado Springs.
